Our first “Create a Flower Cloud” workshop

We had a wonderful day at our first ever “Create a flower cloud workshop”. It was on the hottest day of the year but the barn kept us cool!  We had 4 lovely ladies join us, all with different levels of experience but lots of enthusiasm.  Jemima (experienced event florist from the Little Flower Farm) demonstrated moulding the chicken wire, then adding foliage and then putting individual flower stems in sealed tubes filled with water so they would last. No floral foam in sight.

The group was then split into 2 to decorate one side each and each pair were given a real life brief:
– “Pale & Pretty” – Romantic wedding, no feature/accent blooms. All about texture & movement – September bride to be.
– ” Garden style”

The final flower cloud looked incredible!

After a delicious lunch at Sherridge in the shade of our garden, we returned to the barn and this time everyone was tasked with making their own smaller flower cloud using what every flowers they wanted. The results were all so different but so fabulous. I even made my own flower cloud too.

The challenge was then how to take our creations home with us!
